1.協会のあゆみ

1990年（平成2年）の柏崎市・市制50周事業として開催された国際ユースホステル大会や、1993年（平成5年）のミストラルクラスウインドサーフィン世界大会を機に、柏崎地域に国際理解の機運が芽生え、1996年（平成8年）11月24日に、全体の協会の前身である「柏崎地域国際化協会」が発足しました。

2003年（平成15年）11月7日に、更なる活動の充実と独自の権限・機能を持たせるために、当時柏崎・刈羽地域で活動を行っていました「柏崎市刈羽郡日中友好協会」と「柏崎刈羽日韓親善協会」の2つの団体が、発展的解散をし、当時の柏崎地域国際化協会が、その歴史ある活動を継承して、「財団法人　柏崎地域国際化協会」へと組織改編を行いました。

2011年（平成23年）4月1日より公益財団法人として認定されました。多様な文化をもつ人々が互いの違いを認め、尊重し会い、協力して共に暮らせる地域づくり・多文化共生の理念を継承して、地域の国際化に関する活動の一層の充実を図ります。

1.History of our association

The International Youth Hostel Competition held in 1990 as part of Kashiwazaki City's 50th anniversary project and the Mistral Class Windsurfing World Championship in 1993, brought about international understanding in the Kashiwazaki area. Momentum grew from that movement, and on November 24th, 1996, the predecessor of the entire association, the Kashiwazaki Regional International Association, was established.

At the time, two organizations active in the Kashiwazaki-Kariwa area, the Kashiwazaki City Kariwa District Japan-China Friendship Association and the Kashiwazaki-Kariwa Japan-Korea Friendship Association, expanded their activities and acquired their own authority and functions. In order to develop, they have disbanded. On November 7th, 2003, The Kashiwazaki Area International Association at that time inherited its historic activities and reorganized into the Kashiwazaki Area International Association Foundation.

We were certified as a public interest incorporated foundation on April 1st, 2011. We will further enhance activities related to the internationalization of the region by inheriting the philosophy of community building and multicultural coexistence, where people of diverse cultures can recognize each other's differences, respect each other, and live together in cooperation.

1.协会经历

1990年（平成2年）为庆祝柏崎市，市制成立50周年，举办了国际青年旅舍大会，以及1993年（平成5年）举办的世界滑浪风帆锦标赛为契机，柏崎地区开始萌芽对国际理解的机运。1996年（平成8年）11月24日，柏崎地区国际化协会的前身“柏崎地域国際化協会”正式成立。

为了进一步推动协会的活动并赋予其更多的独立权力和功能，2003年（平成15年）11月7日，当时在柏崎市和刈羽地区开展活动的两个协会，即“柏崎市刈羽郡日中友好協会”和“柏崎刈羽日韓親善協会”为了更好的发展而解散后，柏崎地域国际化协会继承了两个协会的历史活动，进行了组织重组，并成为“财团法人柏崎地域国際化協会”。

2011年（平成23年）4月1日，该协会被认定为公益财团法人。该协会秉承着尊重多元文化，认可并尊重彼此的不同，促进相互合作和共同生活的理念，致力于加强地区国际化相关活动。

2.協会の目的

多文化共生の地域、心温かな人づくりを目指し、柏崎地域住民の国際理解の促進及び地域在住の外国人との交流、支援の促進を図ることに加えて、相互理解の理念と平和を愛する心を育み、国際社会に貢献することを目的としています。

2.Purpose of our Association

Aiming to create a multicultural community and warm-hearted people, we aim to promote international understanding among Kashiwazaki area residents and promote interaction and support with foreigners living in the area. In addition, we contribute to the international community by fostering the ideals of mutual understanding and a love of peace too.
